Retired Marine Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath To Speak At West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women’s 53rd Annual Meeting
McGrath is running for Congress in Kentucky’s sixth congressional district

(Charleston, WV)– Retired Marine Lt. Colonel and Kentucky congressional candidate Amy McGrath will join WVFDW on September 16th as part of their annual meeting taking place at The Highlands Event Center in Ohio County September 15th through 17th.

“We could not be more honored to have Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath join us this year,” said Robin Stultz, WVFDW President. “She encompasses exactly what it is to be a woman who is told where her place in America should be and defying that discriminatory ideology. She served in the military for 20 years, she is a superwoman to all of us and we will take this opportunity to thank her for her service and thank her for blazing the path forward for women in America.”

McGrath served 20 years in the Marine Corps during which she flew 89 combat missions. She was the first female marine to fly in an F-18 on a combat mission. McGrath is now running for Congress against Rep. Andy Barr (R) in Kentucky’s sixth congressional district.

The West Virginia Federation of Democratic Women expect hundreds of women from across the state to participate in this year’s 53rd Annual Meeting.
