WVDP Chair Belinda Biafore released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of the massacre at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida
“It’s been one year since the senseless, hateful tragedy at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando where innocent people were killed while living their lives to the fullest and celebrating just that.. life.
“The world has no place for hatred and no room for fear in our hearts. A year later we still remember those who lost their lives as we continue to fight against bigotry and hate.
“We will never forget, and together we will stand up against potential threats to prevent future attacks so that we can celebrate and love in a country where we are free to do so.
“In West Virginia and across the world today our hearts and prayers are with those who were taken from us, their families, and all of us who will continue to go forward to fight for love.”
