Fellow Democrat,
Last night what we heard from Governor Justice was nothing but, in his own words, “a nothing burger.”
The State of the State is supposed to be an informational reflection, lookahead, and prioritization of what’s to come. Instead, from Governor Justice we got nothing.
Little to no mention of his plans for correctional officers or our teachers, or combatting the opioid epidemic.
Empty promises can only go so far and then the ones who lose are the ones who matter most, the people of West Virginia.
West Virginians already put their faith in him once and he turned his back on them.
Our Democratic Leaders in the House and Senate have made clear their priorities are to protect West Virginians, create jobs, and fight to expand access to higher education and that is exactly what you’ll see.
