Republican Sen. Carmichael Discourages Hope for Century Aluminum Workers and Retirees

Century Aluminum’s Ravenswood plant closure has left many families clinging on to hope as they are losing everything they have worked for and Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch Carmichael tells them it’s “false hope”.

These families are losing it all and that is the “encouragement” they get from one of their leaders in Jackson County?

Carmichael may believe it is time to move on, but tell that to these hardworking families who have everything at risk.

With our leaders, we remain supportive and hopeful that a solution will be found to bring  jobs back to those workers and Century Aluminum will keep its promise to ensure benefits to retirees.

We will continue our fight for these hardworking West Virginia families.
