Bill Cole Takes His “Cut Wages For Workers” Tour To Huntington

What does Cole have against West Virginia workers?

CHARLESTON, WV— Today, state Senate President Bill Cole will visit Huntington for another West Virginia Business & Industry Council (BIC) forum. Cole has used these BIC events for political grandstanding, and to promote his plan to slash wages for West Virginia’s construction workers.

Bill Cole is promising an outright repeal of West Virginia’s prevailing wage law. Does he think the hard-working West Virginians fixing our roads and building our schools make too much money?
“Senator Cole’s plan to eliminate the prevailing wage might go over well with his special interest funders in a smoke-filled backroom, but it would seriously hurt working families across West Virginia,” said Brittni McGuire, a spokeswoman for the West Virginia Democratic Party. “Cole has not been shy about his mission to interfere with the paychecks of West Virginia workers. If politicians like Cole get their way, West Virginia workers will see wages drop”
